Airbus Australia Pacific were due for their recertification audit to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001. Airbus Australia Pacific partnered with SAI Global to find an alternative solution to deliver their recertification audits within a tight deadline.
To meet the recertification deadlines, Airbus Australia Pacific needed a solution that allowed them to meet their certification requirements and accommodate for the current travel restrictions and social distancing requirements imposed by the Australian Government.
For Ian Dodds, the Manager for Safety Governance and Assurance, this meant partnering with SAI Global to deliver remote audits with the use of Information and Computer Technology (ICT).
The unprecedented circumstances created by COVID-19 required the need for a high degree of flexibility from the auditor, which she was more than able to achieve.
Airbus Australia Pacific, a pioneer in the aerospace industry delivering Airbus Helicopters machines and supporting a network of local aircraft facilities, is committed to developing, directing and supporting their business units with health and safety practices and responsible environmental management.
“[The auditor’s] knowledge and adaptability, particularly with regards to her grasp of our integrated Safety Management System was outstanding.
The professionalism displayed and her “nothing was too difficult” attitude removed a significant amount of business stress and made the entire remote audit run seamlessly.”
Using video and audio technology combined with screen sharing capabilities, Airbus Australia Pacific were successfully able to complete their audits and demonstrate to their employees and stakeholders their commitment to their integrated program.
We would like to express our gratitude for the professionalism and understanding shown by your Auditor during the recent “virtual” recertification audit.
